Effective Date and Scope
Effective July 25, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how PrintHub: Print & Scan and its app extensions (collectively, the “App”) process information. The developer identified as the app provider on PrintHub’s App Store product page (“PrintHub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the processing described here. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to printhub.help@outlook.com.
Summary
PrintHub is designed to process document content on your device. We do not operate an account system, advertising network, or cloud document-storage service for the App. We do not display third-party advertising, sell personal information, or use App data for cross-app tracking. The App uses Apple system services, Adapty for subscriptions, Google Analytics for Firebase for limited product analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics. These services may process limited technical, usage, diagnostic, and purchase information as described below. PrintHub does not send your document content to Adapty or Firebase.
Documents and Local Storage
Documents, page images, PDFs, imported files, scans, edits, annotations, signatures, document names, print settings, and previews are processed on your device. Saved documents and their metadata are stored in the App’s local or shared app-group container so the App and its extensions can complete imports. PrintHub does not provide cloud synchronization and does not upload your document library to our servers. Data may still be included in device backups or handled by an Apple or third-party service that you choose.
Camera, Photos, Files, and Contacts
The camera is used when you choose document scanning. The system Photos picker provides only the photos or images you select. The system file picker provides files you select from Files or a configured file provider. If you grant Contacts access, the App may read available contact fields so you can search and select contacts; details from the contacts you choose are rendered into a local document. Permission can be denied or changed in iOS Settings, but the related feature may then be unavailable.
Location Information
PrintHub does not request access to Apple’s Core Location service and does not collect precise GPS location. When the App communicates with Adapty, Firebase, a website you import, or another network service you choose, the network provider may receive your IP address as part of the connection. Firebase may use the IP address to derive a coarse region for Analytics. This network-derived region does not give PrintHub access to your precise device location.
Clipboard and App Extensions
The App checks for supported clipboard types and may read compatible clipboard content to offer or perform a clipboard import. Imported clipboard content is processed as document content. Share and Action extensions copy items you confirm into the App’s shared local container. Unconfirmed temporary extension items are removed, and confirmed items remain locally until the main App completes or discards the import.
Web URLs, Sharing, and Printing
If you import a web URL, the App loads that address using Apple web technology so it can render the page. The website and its providers may receive information normally sent with a web request, such as your IP address and device or browser information, under their own policies. When you share, export, save to a file provider, or print, the recipient app, storage provider, Apple service, local network, and selected printer may process the content you choose. PrintHub stores recent printer connection details and preferences locally to make printer selection easier.
Subscriptions and Adapty
Apple processes App Store payments and does not give PrintHub your full payment-card details. We use Adapty to load subscription offers, create an anonymous installation profile, process and restore purchases, and determine subscription access. Depending on device and service configuration, Adapty may process an anonymous app or device identifier, IP address, device model, operating system, language, app version, installation and launch information, paywall interactions, and purchase history such as product, status, time, and amount. PrintHub disables Adapty’s collection of the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not send Adapty your documents, filenames, contacts, images, annotations, printer names, or file paths.
Analytics and Diagnostics
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure a limited set of product and reliability events, including App lifecycle and session activity, onboarding progress, categories of document-creation and editing actions, print and PDF-export outcomes, paywall and purchase outcomes, and technical failures. Associated information may include an app-instance identifier, App version and build, device class, locale, subscription and free-use state, and technical information such as device and operating-system details and coarse region derived from the network connection.
Firebase Crashlytics automatically receives crash stack traces, relevant App state, device and operating-system information, and diagnostic metadata so we can identify and fix failures. Because Analytics and Crashlytics are both present, a crash report may include breadcrumbs from the approved Analytics event stream immediately before the crash. PrintHub does not configure Firebase with a user ID, custom Crashlytics keys or free-form logs, or developer-reported non-fatal errors.
PrintHub’s Firebase configuration excludes advertising-identifier collection, disables identifier-for-vendor collection, automatic screen reporting, advertising-personalization signals, and automatic ad-network registration, and does not use Firebase for advertising or cross-app tracking. App-defined Analytics events and Crashlytics customization do not include document contents or names, images, PDFs, OCR text, contacts, annotations, signatures, local file paths, source URLs, printer information, or raw error descriptions. Apple may separately process crash or diagnostic information according to your device analytics settings and Apple’s privacy terms.
Support Communications
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your email address, message, screenshots, documents, purchase details, or diagnostic information. Do not send document content or personal information that is not needed to resolve your request. Support information is used to respond, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Purposes and Legal Bases
We process information to provide requested App functions, maintain subscriptions, measure limited product interactions and reliability, protect security, diagnose failures, answer support requests, comply with law, and enforce the Terms of Use. Where applicable, processing is based on performing our contract with you, your consent or permission, our legitimate interests in operating, understanding, improving, and securing the App, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw a device permission in iOS Settings, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Disclosure of Information
Information is disclosed only as needed to provide a function you request, operate subscriptions, measure App usage and reliability, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transfer. Relevant recipients may include Apple, Adapty and its subprocessors, Google and its Firebase service providers, a file or sharing provider you select, a website you import, an AirPrint-compatible printer on your network, and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. PrintHub does not send document content to Adapty or Firebase. Other providers receive document content only when you deliberately direct that content to their service.
Retention and Deletion
Local documents remain until you delete them, remove the App, or iOS removes its data, subject to device or service backups. Temporary data is removed after its task completes or when cleanup runs. Local preferences and printer history remain until cleared with App data. Apple, Adapty, and Google retain purchase, analytics, and diagnostic information under their policies, configured retention periods, and legal obligations. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, disputes, and legal compliance.
Security
We use platform protections and reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App. Data transmitted to subscription, analytics, and diagnostic services uses network security provided by iOS and those services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device, backups, local network, and printer, and avoid importing or sharing highly sensitive content unless the selected destination is appropriate.
International Processing
Apple, Adapty, Google, and their service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy laws may differ in those locations. Where required, providers use recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Adapty’s end-user privacy information is available at https://adapty.io/end-users-privacy/. Google’s Privacy Policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to complain to a privacy authority. Because PrintHub has no account system and most content stays on your device, we may hold little information that can be linked to you. You can delete local documents in the App, remove App data by deleting the App, change permissions in iOS Settings, manage subscriptions in your Apple Account, and contact printhub.help@outlook.com for requests concerning support information or data handled on our behalf by Adapty or Google. We may need information sufficient to locate and verify the relevant record, and some anonymous technical records may not be reasonably linkable to you.
Children
The App is not designed to collect personal information directly from children through an account or advertising service. A parent or guardian should supervise use where required by law, especially when scanning, importing, sharing, or printing another person’s information. If you believe a child provided personal information to support, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Policy Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy when the App, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The revised Policy will show a new effective date, and additional notice will be provided where required. For privacy questions or requests, email printhub.help@outlook.com. You may also use the developer contact information on PrintHub’s App Store product page.
